Hi, Chris. oh....Just a little booboo in the P69:
"When the load has completed,
the resources variable is assigned to the content of the Loader."

I think it would be better as that :

"the content of the Loader is assigned to the resources variable ."

Thanks for your book which has brought so many tips to me...

yah...I forgot to introduce me, I am translating your book into Chinese. Your awesome book has been imported into China by Turing Press(Bei Jing). I think it is a great honour to be able to intranslate your book.

Hi Stephen,
It's not a TweenMax error, misleading as that message is. The rotationY property is only available when publishing to Flash Player 10 (CS4), but TweenMax doesn't do any kind of validation on the parameters you pass in. You can achieve a similar affect to what I'm doing simply by adjusting the scaleX property to make it look like the card is flipping. It's not quite the same because it won't have proper perspective, but for an exercise it's certainly good enough.

Thanks for the great book! I'm having to convert the examples to flash player 9 as I go through the book since I'm working in CS3. In the Memory Card Game example I changed the vectors to arrays, but I'm getting errors with the TweenMax and am not sure why. The import paths to the classes are correct but am getting: Error #1069: Property rotationY not found on MemoryCardCS3 and there is no default value.
	at gs::TweenLite/initTweenVals()
	at gs::TweenMax/initTweenVals()
	at gs::TweenLite/activate()
	at gs::TweenLite$/updateAll()

Hey Chris,

I just recently bought your book and it has helped me tons! It is really easy to follow and you explain everything really well. The instructions were easy to follow and I got it to compile the first time. Your sound engine is what I appreciate the most. I have seen flash sound codes but none as helpfual as yours was. Perhaps in your next release you can go further with sounds and incorporate them into a game. Like how to add background music when on the menu screen, then stop and play a different background when the game starts. Thanks again and best of luck with your new book, I am looking forward to reading it.

Hello,

First of all I'd like to thank you for making your first book, as it really helped me out developing games in Flash. Though I doubt the next book you're making would be much use to me, I want you to know that you're first book was a real life saver! I wish you good luck on your next book.

Regards,
Saiya Uchima
